The new tooltips certainly need more work. The content, as mentioned, is rather useless at times, but what is even worse is the delay: now I can't hover my mouse over brackets to get instant info on what exactly the object is.
Perhaps roll back to the old ones untill the new ones are properly polished? |

Keep up the good work, CCP! Just please make these new features optional, or better yet - customizable.

Ravennaa wrote:The new roll-over popups on the overview might be unnecessary for most people, but they also appear to be pretty unobtrusive, and should not affect one's ability to lock targets from the overview. Nor should it impact locking targets from the fleet broadcast window.
Some people target using brackets, and the popup delay is messing with that horribly. Even more does it mess with one's ability to quickly get info by howering mouse over brackets.
The scrollable lists are nice, but pretty much everything else is bad: the font is too large, the info is redundant and useless, the fade effect - unnecessary, and all that is wrapped by a complete unability to customize any of it. |

Kiandoshia wrote:I think they should just remove the popups in space and make it the way it was before. It was perfectly fine and this -looks- perfectly alright but I really really doubt anyone has bothered 'testing' this extensively because despite looking neat, it is an absolutely horrible thing for when you actually have to use it (because they got rid of the old thing)
It was perfectly fine except for the times when you had a big number of brackets grouped up, which would cause a completely broken list that showed you a random part of the full list, glitchy as hell. The new scrollable list fixes that.
But it is indeed horrible to use due to many reasons already explained, and indeed it seems it wasn't tested very much. I don't think they should simply remove it though, just needs more work. Perhaps roll back to previous version untill the new one is actually ready. |
